New tools for creators of the metaworld

The group is expanding its ability to share digital collections (NFTs) on Instagram to countries in Europe. Content creators and collectors can now view digital collections they have created or purchased. New ways for creators to make money on Facebook and expand access to their Instagram subscriptions are also being added.

Aim develops products to help creators reach a wider audience, grow their communities, and continue to earn a living. During this Creators Week 2022, the company invited creators from around the world to join Meta to advance their careers, connect with other creators and build a future together. New ways for creators to make money on Facebook and Instagram have also been announced.

Digital Collection Updates

Earlier this year, Meta rolled out the ability to view or share digital collectibles on Instagram in over 100 countries. Now this option has been expanded to more countries across Europe. NFT creators and collectors will be able to connect their digital wallets to Instagram and publish digital collections they have created or purchased.

The types of digital collections viewable on Instagram have been expanded to include animated videos or NFTs. In addition, information about certain collections whose metadata has been enriched with OpenSea, such as collection name and descriptions, will now be available on Instagram. The supported blockchains for the exhibition are Ethereum, Polygon, Flow and Solana. Supported third-party wallets for your use are Rainbow, MetaMask and Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Dapper, and Phantom.

Supporting creators in their relationship with their audience

Meta makes it easy for creators to appreciate their favorite creators through their apps to help strengthen their communities and grow their businesses.

  • Instagram subscriptions

Subscriptions are being tested with creators in the UK, Australia and Canada to help them generate predictable revenue and connect more deeply with their most engaged followers. Since the launch of subscriptions in the US earlier this year, creators like Cole Sprouse (@colesprouse), Alan Chow (@alanchikinchow) and Skai Jackson (@skaijackson) have used subscriptions to get even closer to their followers.

Meta helps people discover Stars on Facebook by automatically activating creators’ public content, including Reels. This means people can discover and use Stars in more places on Facebook. Stars are being tested with a select number of creators around the world.

For creators who already use them, they’re introducing new features that make it easier to earn Stars and engage with your senders:

Bringing the Star Party to the Reels. Star Party is a challenge that ends with celebration if the creator achieves his goal.

Try a new virtual gift set tailored to specific content. For example, if you’re looking at a puppy reel from your favorite pet creator, you could send them a dog-themed gift.

Give creators more tools to interact with Star Senderslike the inclusion of a filter that shows all of a creator’s Star comments in one place. This way, creators will be able to respond to multiple comments at once.

Bring the stars to non-video public contentlike photos and text posts

New ways to make money on Facebook

Meta recently launched Music Revenue Sharing on Facebook, offering music creators and rights holders a new way to monetize videos on the platform. Now, when a creator uses licensed music of 60 seconds or longer in their Facebook videos, they can monetize through live ads and some of the revenue goes back to music rights holders.

Pro mode for facebook profiles

In addition, Meta introduces Professional Mode for Facebook Profiles, a new profile setting that allows creators around the world to create a public presence while maintaining their personal experience. Professional Mode offers creators and anyone who wants to be a creator (18+) a set of tools and opportunities to start building a global community from their personal profile. With Pro Mode, creators are eligible to earn money through Stars, Facebook Reels, Live Ads, and Reels Play. They will also have access to content and audience analysis, educational resources, and much more.
